What voltage indication lamp should I use in a standard UAE control panel?

For a panel with a 24V DC control supply (the modern standard for UAE panels with a separate 24V DC PSU), use 24V DC LED indication lamps. For panels where the control supply is 110V AC (DEWA MCC standard), use 110V AC lamps. For 230V AC direct connection (simpler panels without a dedicated control supply), use 230V AC lamps — both LED and neon are available at this voltage. Always match the lamp voltage to the control supply voltage of the panel section where the lamp is installed.

How do I replace a failed indication lamp in a panel door without disconnecting?

Micron Electric UK 22mm indication lamps use a push-fit bayonet or screw-in lamp insert inside a fixed holder body. The holder body stays mounted in the panel door — only the lamp insert is removed and replaced. From inside the panel, push and twist the lamp insert to release it (bayonet type) or unscrew it, pull out the failed insert, and fit the replacement. No need to disconnect wiring from the terminal block. Replacement LED inserts are stocked by Noor Al Bawadi.

Can I use a 24V DC indication lamp in a 230V AC panel?

No — 24V DC and 230V AC lamps are not interchangeable. Connecting a 24V DC lamp directly to 230V AC will immediately destroy it. Similarly, a 230V AC lamp on 24V DC will not light at all. Always match the lamp voltage rating exactly to the supply voltage. If you need to use 24V DC lamps in a 230V AC panel, you must install a 230V AC to 24V DC power supply module for the indication circuit.

Why is my green Run lamp dim or flickering on a new panel?

Dimness in LED indication lamps is often caused by a small residual voltage across the lamp when the circuit is supposedly de-energised — this happens when the lamp is in parallel with a coil (contactor or relay) that has a suppression diode or RC snubber. The suppression component allows a small current to flow through the lamp. This is usually harmless but can be resolved by adding a suitable resistor in series with the lamp, or by using a higher-voltage lamp variant.
